Softrock 100

Team Warrior Trail will be hosting athletes in the San Juan Mountains in Colorado to cover the Hardrock 100 course over 4 days in July of 2025!

The Hardrock 100 is one of the most challenging ultramarathons in the world, held in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Starting and ending in the town of Silverton, the course passes through the towns of Ouray and Telluride, crossing through remote and rugged terrain, where high-altitude passes test both physical endurance and mental grit. The race allows 48 hours for a successful loop. The 4-Day Softrock version is no less strenuous or difficult, but provides the opportunity to focus more on the journey.

The course features a combination of challenging ascents, including Little Giant, Green Mountain, Handies Peak, Engineer Pass and Pole Creek Pass. Notable sections include navigating the technical, rocky paths along the way to Kaufman Creek and the infamous Grant-Swamp Pass, known for its tough climbs and unpredictable weather.

Throughout the 100-mile route, participants face sharp climbs over 13,000 feet, thin mountain air, and treacherous conditions that can change quickly. It’s a true test of endurance and strength, and those who finish are celebrated for conquering one of the hardest 100-mile loops in the world.

Our Warrior Trail Athletes will be guided through this adventure by experienced ultrarunners, coaches and professional, elite athletes who have extensive high-country experience. Our support crew will provide some brief aid stations, but the majority of the route will be done in a fast-packing style.

This is not a timed event, rather the focus is teamwork in a challenging environment. This should resonate with our military professionals!
